How long does my order take to ship?
All orders are fufilled on a first come first serve basis; for example, the earlier your pre-order is placed, the sooner you will receive your eggs or chicks! When we offer in stock items, they will ship weekly on Monday’s to ensure a same week deliverly. We keep an eye on the weather and holiday schedule as well, to ensure a safe and timely delivery. As soon as your order ships, you will be provided with the tracking number and estimated date of arrival. All orders will include appliciple NPIP paperwork, and care instructions.
How does my order ship / why are there extra fees?
Unless otherwise requested, all of our eggs and birds ship through the USPS. The post office charges a $15 surcharge for all live bird shipments, and we also include the cost of a sturdy live bird shipping box complete with a temporary heater, water, and food source to ensure that they arrice safely to you. For our eggs, the additional fee covers a sturdy, high quality foam insert to ensure that the eggs arrive safe and viable for our customers!
What is your return policy?
We understand the excitement of receiving live birds or hatching eggs, and we take every precaution to ensure their safe journey. We use high-quality shipping materials and do everything within our power to ensure your products arrive safe and healthy.
Please acknowledge that there is always an inherent risk when shipping live animals and fragile, hatching eggs. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms:
Guarantees and Disclaimers
No Returns: Due to the perishable and live nature of our chicks and hatching eggs, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns on live birds or hatching eggs under any circumstance.
Loss of Life/Damage: We are not responsible for loss or death of live birds, breakage of eggs, or damage that occurs once the shipment is placed with the carrier.
Viability and Hatch Rate: We are not responsible for the viability or hatch rate of the eggs. Hatch rates are dependent on numerous factors outside our control, including shipping stress, incubation practices, temperature fluctuations, and humidity levels.
Extreme Loss Protocol
In the unlikely event of extreme losses (such as a total loss of live birds upon arrival), we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis. Should a review determine a loss qualifies for remedy, we will work with you on a replacement (birds or eggs), not a refund. The cost of reshipping replacements will be the responsibility of the customer.
